Mapping Chart of Accounts between Employment Hero Payroll and Zoho Books

If you select ‘Group with Default Accounts’ option in ‘How do you want to record salary payments’ field, we’ll use your Employment Hero Payroll default accounts while syncing salary payments with Zoho Books and we’ll automatically map the charts accounts with Zoho Books based on account code in Employment Hero Payroll. You have to follow the below steps to configure the default chart of accounts in Employment Hero Payroll.

1. Access Payroll Hub dashboard and find the chart of account option in payroll settings and click on ‘Chart of Accounts’.



2. Click on 'Payroll Settings' -> 'Chart of Accounts' -> ‘Manage Accounts’, you can find in the top right corner of the page.


3. Default Employment Hero Payroll Chart of Accounts will be mapped which will be synced with Zoho Books.  You Zoho Books Accounts will also be available for selection, however, it's important that you have "Account Codes" set for your Zoho Books Accounts



4. After creating accounts, go back to the chart of Account by clicking ‘Back to Chart of Accounts’.

5. Expand Default accounts and map the chart accounts with payment type and save.

6. Create Payrun, mark it as finalised and click on Sync in the Payroll Hub Setting.

We’ll automatically map the accounts based  on account code and create the journals in Zoho Books as shown below.
